The court determines the amount and timing of the payments that have to be made. MEP does not have the authority to change your maintenance order.

However, if your situation has changed, you can contact a court intake worker at the court where your order is filed to discuss how your court order can be varied.

If both the payor and recipient agree on the changes, tell the court officer about this.
