How does MEP handle the payments?

If you are a payor, send your payments to us through online banking. You can also choose to pay by cheque, money order, or Western Union, but online banking is the quickest, most secure way.

We then send those payments to the recipient by direct deposit. In special cases, some recipients may be paid by cheque.

Important Notice for Payors/Recipients

For clients already enrolled in the Maintenance Enforcement Program who wish to receive notification of their payment being received by the MEP, we kindly request that you provide your email address by emailing nsmep@novascotia.ca with your request. For those who are newly enrolling in the program, please ensure to include your email address on your enrollment form.
